The Awesome Muse is a lifestyle blog providing uplifting content to inspire and guide you as you navigate today’s world.
The idea for The Awesome Muse was born when founder, Jennifer Quisenberry, started thinking about the media she is consuming and its ability to impact her life. The idea began to marinate at an event hosted by Vanity Fair during Oscar Week in early 2016. She listened to You Tube phenomenon, Tyler Oakley, discuss his idea that you become who you consume.

Let that sink in for a moment. You Become Who You Consume.
That’s deep, right?
And the idea for The Awesome Muse began to marinate.
Jennifer realized that much of what she sees online is negative. So many people spew negative diatribes about their political candidate’s nemesis. Internet trolls have a heyday in the comments of blogs and social media posts. Articles have headlines starting with “The Top 5 Mistakes You Make When…” or the “10 things I Hate About _____.” Fill in the blank with the words, “my body” or any other thing you may be insecure about, and it’s a recipe for low self-esteem.
It’s time to pivot toward positivity.
Jennifer wanted a place where women can go to read about their interests with a positive spin on them. Consequently, what you will find here at The Awesome Muse is what the name says. The Awesome Muse writes about and shares things and ideas that will inspire you to feel, to be, to experience, to use, to think about, and to do things that are awesome.
