Tegan and Sara, the Canadian indie pop duo, champions for the LGBT community, and who also happen to be identical twins, have been working musicians for almost two decades.
Love You To Death Review
The pair released their eighth album, Love You To Death, on June 3rd. With its release they proved just how skillful they’ve become in honing their sound. They have grown from two girls strumming their guitars in coffee houses to two women who artfully sing out the pain of relationships over synthy pop melodies.
Love You To Death didn’t disappoint. Tegan and Sara gave us heartbreak and harmony as they sang in unison on the love triangle hit, “Boyfriend.” The song details being in a relationship with a girl who has found a best friend and a lover in a woman, but won’t give up her boyfriend.
In “White Knuckles” they sing about “love twisted up like a chain or a nail.” They always manage to give us such great visuals through their poetic lyrics.
“Stop Desire” may be one of my favorites from this album. It brings the listener to the heights and depths of passion.
4 out of 5
Their evolution from indie stars to hit makers must be lent to their incredible ability as songwriters. And for that alone, Love You to Death receives a 4 out of 5.

I LOVE this album! I have to listen to it when I’m at home alone or in the car though because I must sing along. REALLY LOUD!!!
