I think my love for Tove Lo stems from her keen ability to hearken to the days of her dance pop Swede sister, Robyn. She has always given equally in sleek, melodic beats and raw lyrical talent.
Tove Lo – Lady Wood
On the title track to her second LP, she makes “You give me lady wood,” sound natural. And when she sings in “Vibes” “I want you to lick my wounds,” over a synthy dance-pop beat, the raw emotion of it all doesn’t seem as biting.
With her passion filled catchy dance songs, she’s created her own genre of emo-pop, and I LOVE it. She makes it OK for us to like pop because she turns the genre on its head to make it bad-ass, bossy and fresh.

Lady Wood, huh? Daring title but it sounds much better than Lady Chubby – lol. I can already envision myself hitting the dance floor and getting lost in the title track. I def will be putting that track in my rotation. Fortunately, Spotify has the entire album…
Sidebar: True Disaster should be subtitled Zero Fucks. lol
