Healthy margarita recipes
It’s the time of year when it’s time to start thinking about spending time outside in the sun. And when I do that, I enjoy having a nice, frozen fruity drink to sip to help stay cool. So whether you’re getting ready for a Cinco de Mayo party, a backyard barbecue, or just some fun time around the pool, these healthy margarita recipes are free of guilt, yet full of flavor.
Did you know that the average margarita has over 600 calories? YIKES! But these three recipes are not only easy to make, you can knock the calories down to about 55 when you make them with Cascade Ice instead of traditional mixers. And they taste so good!
Skinny Strawberry Watermelon Margarita
Strawberry watermelon really hits the spot on a hot day. When I visited the Middle East, they served us fresh, cold watermelon juice to cool off. I think of how refreshing that was anytime I enjoy one of these drinks.
Skinny Strawberry Watermelon Margarita
Ingredients
- 2 cups Cascade Ice Strawberry Watermelon
- 1 cup Tequila
- 1 cup Triple Sec
- 1/2 cup lime juice
- sugar to rim your glasses
Instructions
- In a cocktail shaker combine ice, 2 cups of Cascade Ice Strawberry Watermelon, 1 cup of tequila, 1 cup of triple sec and half a cup of lime juice.
- Add sugar to your glass with the juice from a lime and pour in the margarita mixture to enjoy!

Frozen Pink Grapefruit Margarita
Pink grapefruit just screams summer to me. And it’s such a healthy choice. It has just the right amount of tang to get your taste buds ready for fun.
Frozen Pink Grapefruit Skinny Margarita
Ingredients
- 2 cups Cascade Ice Pink Grapefruit
- 1 cup Triple Sec
- 1 cup Tequila
- 1/2 cup Lime Juice
- Ice
- Salt to line the rims of your glasses
Instructions
- In a blender add 2 cups of Cascade Ice Pink Grapefruit, 1 cup of triple sec, 1 cup of tequila, half a cup of lime juice and ice. Blend until it reaches a slushy consistency then divide among cocktail glasses. Line the rim of each glass with lime juice and dip in salt. You can also sprinkle in a touch of salt in each glass if you prefer!
Orange Mango Margarita
I love the combination of citrus flavors with other fruits, and the orange and mango combination is a favorite. And the best part about this recipe is that it tastes so good, but its easy! You don’t have to wrangle with a mango! They certainly aren’t the easiest fruits to peel.
An orange mango skinny margarita is a great way to cool off on a hot day.

Impress guests with this tropical twist! In a cocktail shaker, combine ice, 2 cups of Cascade Ice Orange Mango, 1 cup tequila and triple sec, juice from half a lime and a small squeeze of orange. Add the mixture to a salted glass with an orange wedge for garnish!

A note for making these skinny Strawberry Margaritas, especially since we have a few more weeks of summer. You can also substitute Sparkling Ice or another zero calorie flavored beverage or sparkling water. Some of them are colorless, so your drink may look different, but you can still get some great flavor.
