The Dowager Countess's Cherry and Peach Trifle Dessert Recipe

Cherry and Peach Trifle is so easy to make. You can whip up a fresh batch for guests in about 10 minutes – if you take the time to cut up the ingredients beforehand. It is such a simple treat but seems truly elegant. And when you add a little ice cream and whipping cream to your trifle, it takes it to a whole new level.

Personally, I think it would be fun to serve this up at a Downton Abbey viewing party before the new movie comes out.

Then, when everyone finds themselves getting too wrapped up in the drama and intrigue, they can take a small bite of this delectable dessert. Suddenly, everything will seem just a little more right in the world. This Cherry and Peach Trifle is a nice reminder that sometimes – life is sweet.

Serving the  Cherry and Peach Trifle

Can’t you image Mr. Carson or one of the footmen taking this delicious treat to the dining room at Highclere Castle straight from Mrs. Patmore’s kitchen? Perhaps Daisy had a hand in making one to serve for your Downton Abbey party? I have no doubt that your guests will enjoy this trifle as much as anything served to the Grantham’s.
